Hi all,
I just wanted to make a suggestiong, since it I'm sure lots of people put money in on Dec. 16th so that we can break that record, I'm sure a lot of us are somewhat strapped financially..
Anyways, I was thinking, everyone keeps saying money bomb this and money bomb that, why don't we just make all the suggestions we want, but lets let Ron decide which one he wants.
A big part of the reason I gave on the 16th is because I know Ron was looking foward to it since he mentioned it on news interviews.
My first response would be that it's better to keep it totally separate from the campaign, but maybe they could hint at a particular day they would prefer...

thats a good point, well maybe we should let someone like Trevor decide then, becuase we can't do a money bomb every week obviously, also someone posted a vid on youtube saying we should spread out the donations instead of money bombs i guess b/c steady donations is easier to plan on than a 1 day fundraiser. so I dunno, just thinking out loud

Ok, I don't understand people's thinking. The point of the first two money bombs were to get media attention. We soon found out that even if (a particular) someone sets a fund raising record, they will not necessarily get media coverage.
Instead, please give when you can. This way the campaign will have more money sooner.

I agree, there's no need to let the grassroots be so autonomous that it creates inefficiency and confusion.

I think most of us agree that the strategy of using money bombs to get media attention has run its course, but it's possible that having money bombs leads to more overall donations.
