ok......your state has an open primary.

The reason why registering as republican is so important is because alot of states have closed primaries where you can only vote for certain candidates if you are registered with that candidate's party.

lol but anyways im a former democrat now republican.
when i registered back in 04 i swear i put republican down when i mailed in the form. when i went down to vote in the main election i saw the list up on the wall at the polling place and next to my name it said democrat. i was like wtf, but didnt really care at the time. i just thought it was funny that somebody changed my political party. now i do care tho so yeah

In Texas you don't register, but I have always voted Republican.

Dude, re-do the poll with the correct options. There's no option for long-time Republicans....

Having them vote as newly-registered Republican doesn't make much sense.

and active for over 30 years!

wanted to point out that Ron Paul has been a Republican longer than most people saying he's not. I love pointing that out to people and I it is interesting to not how many long time R's we have on board here. Certainly not what the media and a handful of elitists in the party would have you to believe.

Awesome stuff. The misunderestimation of Ron Paul support by the mainstream media is laughable.

I am amazed at how many apathetic voters that Ron Paul rallied. This will be a very interesting election.

I'm a Former Democrat Now Registered As Republican and so is my mother. Additionally, my younger brother is a Newly Registered Republican. Three more!
