Very clever; I will use it.

Here is your Master's coursework in the purpose of public education, only two books, whole books on-line for free ($70 value):

Whoever controls the image and information of the past determines what and how future generations will think; whoever controls the information and images of the present determines how those same people will view the past.
— George Orwell, 1984 (1949)

Take at hazard one hundred children of several educated generations and one hundred uneducated children of the people and compare them in anything you please; in strength, in agility, in mind, in the ability to acquire knowledge, even in morality—and in all respects you are startled by the vast superiority on the side of the children of the uneducated.
— Count Leo Tolstoy, "Education and Children" (1862)

Prologue
The shocking possibility that dumb people don’t exist in sufficient numbers to warrant the millions of careers devoted to tending them will seem incredible to you. Yet that is my central proposition: the mass dumbness which justifies official schooling first had to be dreamed of; it isn’t real.

A WHISTLEBLOWER'S ACCOUNT

Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, former Senior Policy Advisor in the U.S. Department of Education, blew the whistle in the `80s on government activities withheld from the public. Her inside knowledge will help you protect your children from controversial methods and programs. In this book you will discover:

-how good teachers across America have been forced to use controversial, non-academic methods.

-how "school choice" is being used to further dangerous reform goals, and how home schooling and private education are especially vulnerable.

-how workforce training (school-to-work) is an essential part of an overall plan for a global economy, and how this plan will shortcircuit your child's future career plans and opportunities.

-how the international, national, regional, state and local agendas for education reform are all interconnected and have been for decades.

This book will change forever the way you look at your child's education...

Glad you like it! It's a great video for parents that grew up in the 60's, since that song is by Pete Seeger, a 60's protest singer.

If you like that one, or someone you know does, you should also try Ron Paul for Baby Boomers... it's an anti-war message for Vietnam War-era protesters who have lost their way in the interim. Again, good for some parents.

Nope, it's not a full-blown conversion video. It's meant to make parents of that era think a little bit, is all. That's why there's just a little tag at the end about Ron Paul.

I agree, we need a good full-blown video that looks at Dr. Paul's education views in detail.
