Hey everyone...

For those who didn't know, I was the person hosting and setting up the blog. Katherine and Charles were primarily responsible for adding all the content, I was charged with ensuring that it stayed up. :)

Well today we went ahead and moved the blog to its new, and permanent, home at http://www.ronpaulblimp.com/blog/

We all felt that this was the best route to go.

Additionally, I made sure that the blog and the blimp website looked relatively uniform. :) Let me know what you think.

The blog, and what goes on it, is still entirely in the hands of the blimp team. I'm not officially part of the blimp team, I'm just helping where I can. In the near future, we're also looking at creating a redesign of the site which flows better and is easy to navigate. I'll be working on that this weekend.

All in all, things are working well. Trevor and Elijah should be posting on the blog as it goes forward, and hopefully such an easy and open form of communication will help everyone understand what's going on better in the future.

Why do we need registration to post? It's just an unnecessary burden, imho.

No company in their right mind would allow some of the jerks we have here on the business site. Can you imagine on the Apple site that some one keeps tearing down Apple, itt doesn't help any body but the jerks ego or paid by the competitor plants.

And how do you think registration keeps anybody off? Because some would be too lazy to register or what? The moderation is the key - the registration in this case doesn't make any sense.

Props to you, Jordan. The site is getting better! I like the fact that clicking on the blog link just ... brings up the blog!!! I can now just read downward 'til things start to look familiar. :D

Good luck with the redesign. Thanks for helping out.

For Liberty!

Registration makes moderation a bit simpler. Rather than moderating every comment and having folks imposter one another, you can moderate the first comment before letting it go, and then give the folks a leash...if they hang themselves with it, you ban the account and go through the process when they reregister.

There is a difference between "tearing down" and asking honest questions that deserve honest answers.

I just make sure the blog works. Decisions like that are up to Katherine and the team.

As I understand it, they require registration not so that people can't dissent, but so that everyone knows which comments are connected. In other words, the same person can't post as two annonymous people arguing with themselves... a sort of "false flag" comment war if you will.

It's to prevent deception, not dissent, (as I understand).
