The Republican caucuses are a straw poll where each voter casts his or her vote by secret ballot. Voters are presented blank sheets of paper with no candidate names on them. After listening to some campaigning for each candidate by caucus participants, they write their choices down and the Republican Party of Iowa tabulates the results at each precinct and transmits them to the media. The non-binding results are tabulated and reported to the state party which releases the results to the media. Delegates from the precinct caucuses go on to the County Convention, which chooses delegates to the District Convention, which in turn selects delegates to the State Convention. Thus it is the Republican State Convention, not the precinct caucuses, which select the ultimate delegates to the Republican National Convention in Iowa.

Sounds like the establishment has firm control of that free election.

we should get a captain for each caucus, who takes signatures of every person that voted for Paul, and then get it to the Paul campaign. That way, if the numbers do not add up, we can call foul.

I agree... I really believe that no matter what, they will not go down without a fight... if it looks like he is winning, they will cheat for sure...

It does not matter that the Iowa GOP has Byzantine rules governing the selection of the actual delegates in JUNE; the only thing that matters is the beauty pageant on caucus night, which we will dominate when RP supporters show up in droves.

Alex Jones tried something like this last month. The poll was 100% completely ignored by the media.

Even if we do, they will say we're lying. We could call up the delegates, but I doubt that all of them are going to want to jump on the Fight the Man wagon with us.

The real contest is the state conventions. Delegates are not bound in caucuses no matter who wins the caucuses. Ron Paul supporters must try thier best to fill all delegate slots to get them to the state convention where the real elections will occur. The caucuses as mentioned are beauty contests (straw polls on steroids).

If its like straw polls on steroids, then seeing as RP has won most straw polls, shouldn't this be a slam dunk? :D Seriously though, Ron Paul Supporters need to show up in droves, AND MAKE THEIR PRESENCE KNOWN.

They are already voting Ron Paul, I don't see why not.
Get their name, and phone number. After some random sampling, if 100% of those called by the media respond they indeed vote for Paul, it would be a huge story.

we haev the grassroots, but really, HQ should take care of this, make sure we have a captain at every caucus. We have to check these people, the GOP is not trustworthy.
