I was talking to my 4 year old daughter about Ron Paul and she immediately liked him when she saw his picture. I showed her Romney, Huckabee, and Thompson and she didn't like them. I didn't want to scare her by showing her Julie Annie.

In any case, she immediately though to write him a letter. She told me what she wanted to write and I told her the letters, but she wrote it. We then sent the original (written in crayon on construction paper) and a photo of her holding it in front of our Christmas tree and our Capitol ornament visible. (I told her that he works there) I also included a letter expressing my support and explaining the letter.

You can see the photo below. She was excited to find out that he is a baby doctor and has helped over 4000 mommies.

Any others have cute photos of their kids supporting RP?

Heh, my 9-year old makes fun of me for my interest in Ron Paul. Probably because his mother thinks I'm "wasting my time with that cr*p". I just spent the morning at my office getting letters to Iowa printed out and envelopes stuffed, and she'll really be miffed when I tell her I still have 100 left to finish tomorrow. Ah well, others have made much greater sacrifices than I :)

You are suppose to be hand writing those letters. Iowans don't want spam from out-of-staters.

Thanks!

And yes, not everyone understands our devotion to this cause. Not everyone can grasp the big picture.

We are literally fighting ideologies and the people and organizations promoting those ideologies that have been changing our dear country into something I'm 100% sure the founding fathers would almost immediately take up arms against. Fortunately for now, the war is fought with weapons of truth and information.

Like the frog, we are being boiled alive and too many don't notice. (yes I know that the whole frog thing doesn't really work that way, but its a good metaphor)

Dude, like there are over 179,000 independent Iowans who haven't gotten any letter yet, and you still think that hand-writing is better than nothing? Sorry to disappoint you, but at least I'm hand addressing the envelopes and including my personal address/email. I really have a hard time believing that you speak for all independent Iowans. Do you also think the out-of-staters calling on telephones and going door-to-door are doing more harm than good? We all do what we can.

I've nothing against anyone who wants to write letters by hand. But remember one word.

She spelled president wrong and her "S" is backwards. This kind of cuteness is not allowed!

I'm hoping that she gets something back from him or the campaign... she really wants to meet him. :)

(as do all of us I'm sure)

That is adorable!

My girls (3 & 6) talk about Ron Paul a lot (prob because I do). We heard a radio ad in the car yesterday and my 3 year old said....ohhh, Mommy, you love him. :)

When we met him a few weeks ago, I asked my girls if they liked him or not...the 3 year old said that he had funny hair, and my 6 year old said he squeezed her too hard when giving her a hug :)

Don't let the media get hold of this, no telling what they'll try to accuse him of!

With all the recent positive developments, I just don't see how Ron Paul can lose. What great stories we'll be able to tell our kids about how we were (even in a small way) a part of the second American Revolution.

And thinking about it, if framed in language for kids, Paul is easily the most attractive. He doesn't lie, wants everything to be fair, wants everyone to play by the rules, has helped thousands of mommies have babies, has a great big loving family, looks very "grandfatherly", etc... Any more?

If you remember the "All I need to know for life I learned in Kindergarten" poster, you'll see that RP fits it very well.

http://www.peace.ca/kindergarten.htm

I just found it and seriously, the similaries are uncanny.

Kind of "All I need to look for in a President I learned in Kindergarten". (Even the part about cookies which RP is so fond of)
