Yesterday I watched the Ron Paul segment on the Colbert Report show, and saved the link. Today I went to watch it with my lady and it said that Viacom had cited copyright. I found the video somewhere else to watch it, of course :D, but this got me wondering... this won't start happening with all of these videos, will they?
My guess is no, because this was an enertainment show, and the media might be bound by laws regarding the nature of the content? Anyways, even if they weren't, it would be noticed, and they would be criticized for it....
Just wondering about the potential for this and if anyone knows about political campaign laws that might have jurisdiction or anything, or simply a notice of the possibility so we can be proactive if it starts to happen more....
Here's that link, by the way...
