We should hold on all the people planning to max out again, this time for the general election, as then we can hold a huge money bomb where all those $2300 donors contribute all together!

. . . On April 19. It was someone else's idea, but we can do fireworks as it begins and ends to commemorate, "the shot heard round the world".

That'd be dandy. :)

good idea. i want to take a moment and stress the importance on grassroots as well. this is where the creativity shines and i believe we need more money allocated to grassroots

Moey bombs will not matter to the media when they have actual primary results.

Yeah - money bombs (IMHO, anyway) are intended to help get exposure. If we're talking about fundraising for the general, that's not a problem.

we should do it on April 15. None of us should file our taxes and should donate to Ron Paul. just kidding.

If there's a general election moneybomb, it should be on Feb 6th. IF this happens and he has about 50% of the delegates, this will further seal the deal with the later states and possibly make the other candidates concede early if he has a significant lead AND a ton of money raised for the general election.

why?

the purposes of money bombs were:
- encourage people to donate
- media coverage

do you really think ron paul won't get media coverage once he has the nomination?!
(I think ron paul won't start collecting funds for the general election until he's at least very close to having the nomination)
so why do you discourage people to donate?
