Anybody know what the compliance cost are associated with the income tax?

1) Lots of money.
2) Time
3) Accountants could be doing a productive job
4) Capital investments going offshore because it's less expensive elsewhere
5) People unwilling to start a business because it's too much hassle
6) Stress of filing and health cost of therein

My guess is the cost are greater than the benefit. We should stick to excise taxes to fund govt- as set out in the constitution. We could be so much more efficient and our standard of living would reflect it greatly
