LISTEN TO THIS SONG:

OK, since high school (probably 20 years ago now) this has been one of the most lyrically powerful songs I've known of. It's called "With the People", and to me it perfectly embodies this campaign.

I've had to post it on a website with my own songs, because I have no other way -- BUT IT IS NOT MY SONG! I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR IT! I just wanted to put it up here for you folks to here.

I think it would be incredible for a YouTube video for Ron Paul . . . anyway, let me know what you think -- it's the very top song listed at the following link (oh, and feel free to listen to any of my songs, too :D):

WITH THE PEOPLE - by Kevn Kinney
The carpet maker lays the color of the day
Lost and torn and worn to tears, I'm tryin' to stay awake
Who is it that allows the global pillage that you seek?
The blind will only shine in the light if everyone can meet me halfway
Singing along
It's a long, long road that we're starting on
The people of the town must gather 'round
But the leader must start the march, then fall behind to walk
With the People

Sunset city sky, 9 o'clock at night
We gather 'round the square to show them that we care to call them to
What it is we need
What they believe we need
What it is we see
What they believe we see
It's been a long, long wrong
And it keeps on goin' on & on & on
The people must right the wrong
And the singer must sing the song and walk with me and sing
With the people

Hist eyebrows raised in a means of disconcern to warn
Com around along again, today his head's on strong
Stand in line at quittin' time, head out to City Hall
Spend half the night tryin' to change the world
So his kids can live at all
Sing along with the wind
Keep the puppets on their strings
For at least then we know where they are
And someday they may wake up and walk with me and sing
With the people

I'll keep bumpin' 'til I get some listeners. :)

I have to remove it from this site soon, but I've hyped it numerous times, so I'm putting it out here for the masses for a limited time. :)
