I just wanted to say.. Ron Paul reminds me of James Stewart the wonderful actor who was popular many years ago :-

"His "aw shucks" demeanor has served him well as the good guy, the shy guy or the nice guy in films..."

"Soft-spoken, extremely polite and shy manner, with a very recognizable drawl in his voice. Often played honest, average middle class individuals who are unwittingly drawn into some kind of crisis."

I agree.

Ron Paul's story almost reminds me of "It's a Wonderful Life."

Remember, in that movie the bad guy was the evil banker. In Ron Paul's life he has been battling evil politicians.

That reminds me. It's about that time of year to put It's a Wonderful Life in the DVD player.

And then there's Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.

Agreed, I just watched that movie yesterday in fact. Although I doubt Paul would favor a national boy's camp.

I just saw the movie "No country for old men" (at least I think that was the title) with Tommy Lee Jones. He looked quite a bit like Dr. Paul there. I was thinking he could play Ron Paul in the movie that I hope they'll make one day "DR NO"

Haven't watched them all yet, so don't blame me for any incorrect sequencing or anything :P

Personally he sometimes reminds me to Captain
Picard from the second Star Trek series. :">
Don't ask me why.

OMG, watch Part 1 around 7:10 and tell me that all those children aren't us talking to the media(father/governor) :D Just finished Part 1. I don't remember any of this so I think I just caught the tailend of this movie. This is just amazing how it's already mirroring nowadays.

Edit to add:
Halfway through Part 3 and I'm already wondering if there is anyway we can get this broadcast nationally. I think this would shame alot of those who talk about lesser of two evils. How about it? A "Mr Smith Goes to Washington" Bomb? Would never happen, but it would be awesome if it did.
