District 2 in New Orleans was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina. There are about 7 people there who would like to be delegates for the Republican Party, but they can't afford the 100.00 delegate fee because they have lost everything and are living in FEMA trailers.

The Republican Party needs delegates and the people who want to be delegates cant' afford to pay. So you're helping the Republican Party. There is no need to extrapolate from there.

Please help the Republican Party of Louisiana!

Bump, and good luck! it took me and jenn begging like paupers all night last night to raise $70 to help with our delegates...

People need to realize delegates are more important than anything else in this process and that Louisiana is currently a 3rd world country, and that we wouldn't be asking for financial assistance if we didn't need it.

Ron can't win without delegates.

Be sure to post this info at daily paul.

Can you ask the campaign about this? i'm sure they would be ok with this as louisiana is a caucus state and it's all about strength in numbers, not money or power. It's worth a shot.

edit: I think this is what we are doing here in district 7 effected by Rita :) Not really anything about rita just like to bring it up when I can cause it was bad too damnit, lol.

The campaign "may" help... is the response we got, if i heard correctly... I personally do not want to wait and see.... we are the campaign, we need to get this done regardless!

Louisiana's caucuses are scheduled for Thursday, Jan 10 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. That’s only 3 days after New Hampshire we are going to need to keep the momentum up.

I truly believe that the campaign money bomb business should be put aside for us seasoned donators. With more organization, I could tell what's most important, right now I come by it only by chance and a hint of OCD.

I did 11/5.

I did 12/16 x 4

I need to know now exactly what is most important action-wise. And I do believe that getting delegates is one of the most important things.

So I support this cause immensely. Along with a couple other action items. What I would love is some specific area to look to see what really is THE most important from a professional point of view, while still espousing the creativity of the massive grassroots.

How can we organize this so we don't miss really important things, like delegates, registering voters, getting signatures to have him on the ballot, etc?

That stuff, in my opinion, is far more important than another money bomb right now.

I almost regret joining the forum because it's just been confusing in so many ways about what is truly most important. Outside of this, it was easier: follow online, see what's going on, go to a meetup, support the efforts, donate to Trevor Lyman's latest creation, rinse, repeat.

Now we're at another level, and we have a new ballgame, and have to learn some new rules. We need to maximize efficiency. Having 10 different Trevor Lyman Lite's around organizing money bombs will do no good, if not harm. I appreciate the sentiment, but we have a lot at stake here and need to get really serious, without losing our creative edge or our sense of humor and be open-minded.

I honestly do not know what things are most important right now and because of that, I won't donate to a money bomb. 12/16 was clear. Things are now muddy.

My own opinion is that we need to act, more than we need to raise more money. The official campaign is only a small part of this, we the grassroots have made this what it is. If we can't organize, we are screwed. There are so many different projects out there for Ron Paul, it will make your head spin.

The time to act is now. Can someone knowledgeable tell me what we should be acting on?

Well, I think delegates would be number 1. No delegates= no win no matter what else we paid for.

Just to make sure we're all on the same page:

The FILING DEADLINE for delegates & alternate delegates is the 1/10.

The CAUCUSES caucuses are on 1/22.

WHATEVER info you need, you can PM myself or Jenninlouisiana, we both are highly informed on the details of the process.

We're at $621.50...Great job, guys, that's a great deal toward what we need. Keep it comin!
