Hey guys, I currently run a website that has over a million active members, and I'm looking to make a news post about my support for Ron Paul.

I am looking for 2-3 videos that you guys would think are good "intro to ron paul videos". Would you consider:

1- http://youtube.com/watch?v=wIivoqLbeeg (A New Hope 2.0)
2- http://youtube.com/watch?v=XaxdUPNYj2s (House of Cards)

along with http://www.obamala.com as good references?

On another topic, does anyone know why the ABC 20/20 link on that obamala.com site is down? Who can be contacted to fix it?

Hi,

A New Hope is good IMO

What type of niche site is it? there may be a better movie for your "market"

Those are the two videos that I always use to introduce people to Dr. Paul, good choices! Many people like Stop Dreaming but I prefer A New Hope to be honest. The Candidates@Google talk with Ron Paul is very illuminating for a fuller picture of Ron Paul (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCM_wQy4YVg). If the folks on your site are interested, don't forget www.ronpaullibrary.org, that is priceless if you are trying to flesh out his views.

Onward! :D

For gamers you'll probably want something mentioning how he wants to keep the Internet unregulated. Also no national ID, no war on drugs, no nation-building and other more libertarian stuff. Pro-life and commodity-backed currency are probably less important here.

I really like this YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeSMdysK7iY) and it is targeted to Gamers. This makes it 'on topic' and 'less controversial' to your audience.

Whenever I am in chat before the game starts I saw something like "You hear about the idiots politicians that want to make [Game name I'm playing] illegal?" Everyone usually responds very interested so I tell them to write down the URL and check it out after the game. Almost everyone is interested and checks out the site. The sad truth is the bait question is true.

For example, a video about keeping online gambling legal is great for a gambling website. Same with a video about health freedom for a health supplements website.

House of Cards is too dense for first timers.

Good supplements:

Ron Paul Supports Our Troops
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC6D6uiLrgQ (depending on audience)

eLIB3RTY's Tea Party 07 (to show what we did on Nov 5 and mention the $6 million day, this vid is good for complete newbies to show them what the grassroots have done, and Ron Paul summarized quite well who his supporters are: nondescriptive)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKZmIzEMUN8

"Ron Paul Upholds the Constitution for Rosa Parks" (against spending taxpayers' money, instead offers $100 chip-in, no one accepted)

Ron Paul vs Rudy Giuliani (for some people, seeing this is a huge eye-opener)

The three I have referenced on the front of my site are:

>> Ron Paul: A New Hope (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG2PUZoukfA) - though there is a 2.0 version now that seems identical AFAIK
>> Change The World 2.0 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=klSek88t54w)
>> Paul's Iowa Chairman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wo7G6j6bi4)

By the way my site is in my sig and it has the best collection of documentaries etc going anywhere on the web...if I knew it was being plugged to 1m people I'd be well chuffed.... ;)

My only issue with the new hope and stop dreaming vids. are that they contain information that is old... that could be made better. I like the flow of the vid. but I think there are things we could use to replace certain portions of the vid. to make them better and not change the effect.

Such as, it mentions the 11/5 4.3 million in one day... but now we have the $6 million in one day. We also have better footage of massive crowds of RP supporters... the old videos the crowds are smaller....

Maybe the creator can do a New Hope 3.0 and incorporate the new things... including the blimp.

Nice....how many of your base are US citizens?

I know there's tons of American DoTA players (everyone in all the World of Warcraft guilds I've played with play DoTA on the side and they were principally American; I'd say a good chunk is right at the voting age and above, too). There's also quite a bit of Aussies but this is going from my personal experience. I'd also be interested in the traffic breakdown.

Hey, welcome to the club :)

We've been endorsing Ron Paul on hornymatches.com with a video that's played on login. Try to login with username limelime and password ronpaul

This is the video that I think conveys the message in the shortest time. We are ranked around 775 on alexa and the 200th most visited site in the usa. We also have a banner in our main members area.

Good luck and get some other big webmasters to do the same, many are following ;)

Fantastic!!! I used to play Dota (or Defense of the Ancients for Warcraft III Frozen Throne) so much...I was entirely addicted to that game. This site seriously has a viewing - if you don't believe him just go on youtube search for dota, people are obsessed with that game. I used to go on it all the time when I played:

http://www.dota-allstars.com/

Thank you gippis - or Pendragon, whoever you are, great job!

Maybe if a lot of dota gamers support Ron Paul, we could have a petition for Blizzard to support Ron Paul itself. There are literally millions of World of Warcraft players who just play that game all day who can be exposed to Ron Paul :)

This is seriously fantastic, I am delighted to see Ron Paul being supported on the website of my favorite former game.
