Why spend over a million $ on a Ferrari when you could have faster for just over 100K???
The current Z06 just did high 10's in the 1/4 stock. Think about what an extra 115hp will do.

Amazing, Amazing...

Dr. Paul needs to cruise in this when he gets elected! haha

i rather have a lambo still. I am not a fan of ferrari but I love the design of lambo and aston martin. corvette looks like a regular sports car. the design is too simple and people buy expensive cars because they have crazy designs. I dunno maybe i am brainwashed

heh, looks like we've got a few car enthusiasts in here.

The ZR1 is the Corvette supercar....on par with the "true" supercars such as the Ferrari Enzo, the Koenigsegg CCX, the Pagani Zonda, etc.

We'll see how this stacks up on the track.

Most people don't race interiors:confused:
You can enjoy the luxury of the lambo under the glow of the ZR1's tail lights.

Plus, you could own TWELVE ZR1's for the price of that Reventon with that interior.

American cars don't hold their value for more then 30 seconds after you take it off the lot.

umm i don't think majority of rich folks buy expensive cars to race. Also, exclusivity is what people are looking for when they fork over $500,000+ for a car. People drool when they see Lambo, Merc SLR, Ferrari etc but they rarely drool when they see a Corvette.

From racing and price point of view, yes Corvette beats everything.

That used to be true but not as much anymore. And not all foreign brands have good resale automatically. Some are terrible. Daewoo Hyundai....

Jeep Mustangs and Vettes are quite good. In fact Corvette was number one recently on this.

The Lamborghini Reventon has a fatal design flaw:

Actually no cars do. Depreciation is universal.

Extra 115 HP will make you ETs higher without another large some of money put into the drive train and beefing the body to keep it from twisting to get the tires to stick with that extra HP on that car.;)

Fuck Corvettes...Corvettes have sold out into a car that every middle class person can get, just like Porshe. They arent as cool or exclusive anymore. And even then, why spend a few hundred thousand dollars on a car when you could so easily get a car which destroys the Corvette, especially on the 1/4 and 1 mile, for under 100k?

The existing production 2007 and 2008 Z06 is an incredible track car from everything I've seen. Most people don't seem to understand what a radical departure it is from the base model C6 they probably see around town, hence the "Corvettes suck! I took one with my Civic!"

I can't wait until Top Gear gets a hold of the ZR1. Did anyone see their Z06?

I understand the whole "there's finally an American car that can beat an ENZO" thing, but if anybody wants to invest in a fast car, they'd be a lot better off buying a classic muscle car.

Muscle cars have been sky-rocketing in price lately, with the baby boomers retiring and wanting to spend their money on something. Many muscle cars now go for 6 times the price they did 10 years ago, and they will probably go up in value for the next 20 years. A Hemi Cuda used to go for about $35k about 10 years ago, and now they go for about $190k.

If you want a new muscle car, I'd go for a CSX 4000 Shelby Cobra. They recently started making the god of all muscle cars again. These aren't kit cars, they're the real deal, and they'll only go up in value.

They start at around $50k, and do under 4 seconds 0-60, and under 12 seconds in the quarter mile. It has 535 HP, or get it with a supercharger to boost it to 750 HP. The engine can be tricked out/bored out even more to give it over 650 HP, or somewhere around 865 HP with a supercharger.

Very nice, but if I'm gonna get a classic muscle car, I'm gonna get my baby:

Nice! Here's my friend's car:

It's still available if you're interested. The highest bid at auction was $170k and they wouldn't sell it for that though. :D

God damn, thats nice...thats just like the one that was in the movie American Gangster. Same paintjob and everything...Yeah, 66's are nice, but I'm partial to the 67's. My dad is working on a 66 Coupe with a 302. He just got done with his exhaust system.

Here is a picture of mine just before I sold it:
