I am a college student trying to show my support for Ron Paul by setting up a system by which you or your Meetup group can place mass calls to your local or any number of phone numbers to tell your neighbors about Ron Paul all at cost.

I need money to help setup the systems. If I can't get enough to get the ball rolling, I may have to give it up, but Ron Paul support is growing, so here's hoping!

If too many calls are flooding into NH, we could disable calling to anyone in NH. We don't have to inundate callees with calls where calling is strong. I just want to setup a tool for calling cheaply for other areas.

Not trying to discourage your project, but I think that if you talked face to face with 10 people it's better than 1000 Robocalls and much more cost effective.

Because if 1 of those people talk to yet another 10 people tt grows like wildfire.

Too Much Help

With as much as the campaign, local supporters, and Operation Live Free or Die folks are doing in the state, it is very easy to get “too much help”. Some examples:

Some folks outside the state have decided to do “auto-calls” on their own. Given the amount of auto-calls the campaign is doing, this is getting on peoples nerves. Also, someone forgot to take the time zone into account, and people were getting calls in the middle of the night!!! You can’t imagine how painful it is for us to hear “I was supporting Ron Paul, but all this calls are pissing me off, and I won’t vote for him”. This has happened several times, and is really a problem. If you know who this is – STOP IT. In fact, this is hurting so much, I wonder if it is coming from one of our opponents.


Please take your project down....but please do not let that detour you from helping in other ways though. :)

Ron2Win, You're absolutely right, but it's possible we could reach people who don't have friends that know about Ron Paul.

While robocalling seems impersonal, we could also have Ron Paul calling that takes place using live people at the other end if we wanted.

I just want to setup the ability to use calling as a tool, not necessarily to spam people with Ron Paul.

Jabbrass, please take a look at the link that xexkxex posted. Some of these robocalls are backfiring on us in New Hampshire.

If that's the case, we could just disable calling to areas receiving too many calls.
