They won't have writes which means more/longer interviews and ad-libbing.

They need guests. RP is big in their target Demo. Start pushing now and start pushing hard (but polite). Maybe if we work a miracle we can even get on first and snatch a headline or two.

Get to work!!!

I'm sure that they both want him on ASAP too. I'd be SHOCKED if this didn't happen first week of them being back, maybe first DAY. Imagine a Stewart/Colbert doubleheader, with Paul being on both in the same day. That's about 18 million hours of you tube videos :D

Let's do it. Writing campaign! Handwritten would probably get even more attention.

I know some of the staff at Colbert. They love him over there, so I'm sure they'd have him back. They also mentioned that they never had so many fans show up for any guest, than when Dr. Paul arrived last time.

Anybody find contact info for the Daily Show? It doesn't look like there is a contact link on their site.

There is this site we can post on:

Maybe we should have a script bomb for the two shows. :)

Id bet almost anything Stewart and Colbert have seen everything on the web and are wondering too why its not in any news. Perhaps they feel compelled. If thats the case, we really will be invincible.

I can just see it now.

Colbert: "As you know, I've been gone for a while due to the writer's strike. So much so, that I've started to lag a little in the polls. So I decided to do what all smart political figures do: Give myself the Ron Paul Bump!"

Ha! Kick arse!

My wife and I were just talking about how terrible it was that now of all times they are out of the game beyond their own powers.

Glad to hear these patriots are taking it on their own!

Don't be so sure. There are tons of other guests clamoring to be on those shows I am sure. PLEASE contact your contacts on that show and request they book Dr Paul ASAP. We need him on before NH primary!

Sounded like the start date was the 7th, so that might not be possible. Sooner is better but I'd settle for anything pre-super Tuesday...

I could not find anything for individual shows, so this may be the only one. Please correct me if you know better. You can select the show in the topic drop down.

why do you guys look up to these 2 people so much on comedy central when it is obvious indecision 2008 endorses mccain.

also, they are both tools to there network.

steven on his show plays a neocon and in real life is a socialist

john is just a tool in general.

i dont understand, please someone explain to me when they have ever said anything about ron paul or the likes of him?

I don't think it's necessary to see this so negatively. They call out the MSM on their hypocrisy--I'm fine with them doing just that.

an appearance on Colbert and/or Stewart would reach a huge demographic of potential new hardcore grassroots supporters

Viewers will watch and neither Stewart nor Colbert will try to make their interview a hit piece. It's a great opportunity to reach more people who have been hearing about this Ron Paul guy but don't watch the political shows like Hardball.

First off I don't agree with you, but more importantly it does not matter. I haven't had cable for a couple of years now. I think these guys are funny but I don't "follow" or "look up" to them. The real issues are:

- They have a solid following.
- Sometimes their shows are also talked about on the news shows, and you can bet they WILL talk about them coming back on air, which is why getting on the FIRST shows on the 7th is the highest goal (although any time is good)
- The treat Ron well (You wanted an example, so watch Colbert hand him softballs from last time from early on in the race)
- They tend to cut down people for BS'ing and reward them for being honest/genuine, which is a plus for Ron Paul
- Their audience is part of a group which we are having lot of affect with (disenfranchized etc.)
- They have no writers and flat out NEED guests to run a show, so our chances are better at getting in there and getting more time.

Keep mailing! Let's get in there before Feb 5th, and try to score one for Jan 7th if we can.

Yeah that crap about them endorsing McCain..? If they said that it was a joke!! It's a comedy show and trust me those two do not like McCain. They are both anti-war so that eliminates that right there. They do treat people fairly if the guests are honest and not completely full of crap. They have already had Ron Paul on before and it went well on both shows. We need to get Ron Paul back on those shows!
