So Iowa first, a caucus, which is by it's nature biased toward candidates with passionate supporters rather than wide but tepid support. Then New Hampshire, the most libertarian leaning state in the union and open primary. After that it's Michigan. The Dems had their delegates taken away and many won't even be on the ballot. This is another open primary, and we know who the Dems favorite Republican is. Next is Nevada, another caucus and clearly a state that loves states rights and civil liberties. Then it's South Carolina where Mark Sanford is governor. Sanford got the liberty bug from RP and started voting with him when he was in congress. His opponents tried to use that against him, but instead it apparently helped him. Conveniently it's also an open primary state. After that it's super-duper tuesday where the nominees will likely be decided in one fell swoop, while the party is still in shock and denial from the early states, convinced it's all a fluke and before they realize they need some of the other candidates to drop out to avoid splitting the vote. RP wins.

The more I see, the more I'm convinced of this. I believe things happen for a reason. First election without an incumbent or VP running in 80 years, Republican party in turmoil, unpopular war, Democratic congress nearly as despised as the most unpopular president in history, dead heat among several establishment candidates splitting the votes with just weeks to go. It's the perfect storm.

3rd in Iowa, 2nd in NH. Strong in SC and Michigan (probably strong 3rd). Win Nevada.

We'll be roughly even in delegates with all the other candidates going into Super Tuesday.

We will wake up on February 6th, 55% of the delegates will have been chosen -- and Ron Paul will be in the thick of it.

At that point -- all the other candidates will be sucking wind money-wise, and Ron Paul will just be getting started.

Then -- it's the "brawl in St. Paul" -- Republican convention in St. Paul in September.

Can't wait.
