I'm not sure if this has been asked before and I'm not quite sure how it works.

Basically is fundraising for the primaries allowed during the first quarter of 08's? I know that Kerry raised quite a lot of money during the primary season, but that was for the general election.

It seems that since the Campaign will be campaigning hard until Super Tuesday and likely after that as well, they could still put any funds raised up until Mid/Late January to good use for sure.

Breaking the campaign out onto a national level will be expensive and I'm sure another $5+ Million wouldn't hurt.

The campaign can use all the cash it can get. The earlier they get it the better. I noticed today they are planning a New Year's day and an MLK money bomb.
These are fine but at some point people need to donate when they can.
I believe MLK event is only 1/2 weeks before super Tuesday. Not much time to plan ads.
