Here's the run-off vote between the two sites. For those of you who haven't heard, here's the scoop:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=61101

Second thread:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=61346

Cliff Notes: A new site where people can tell their stories, much like http://www.npr.org/blogs/bryantpark/2007/12/who_are_ron_pauls_supporters.html, which already has ridiculous amounts of stories on it. On this site we can (voluntarily!) give more information so people can search by age, location, or issue. (IE, teachers can put their story into the "Education" section and tell why they think Ron Paul is right on Education. Other issues would be covered as well, with Ron Paul supporters explaining why they know about the issue, and why they think that he's right. Also, it seems we'd be able to have a video section as well!

This is the final voting for the site name! We'll keep polls open until 11 PM PST! That gives us 7 hours to narrow it down.

WEBMASTERS! If you're interested in working on this project, please leave a note here or PM me!

If you've got a reason that you like one over the other, let us know! This is going to be a great site!

we are not ron paul, this message of personal liberty is bigger than ron paul, he has said it himself. we are the revolution sounds much better and a bit provocative, which is what we need

Was WeAreTheRevolution.com proposed or discussed (as opposed to WeTheRevolution.com)?

Was WeAreTheRevolution.com proposed or discussed (as opposed to WeTheRevolution.com)?

Yes, I believe so. It was really early in the morning. I think that we decided that "WeTheRevolution" makes people think "We The People" which makes them think "Constitution".

I agree with you, but "We Are Ron Paul" fits right in with "Who Is Ron Paul?" too. I like them both, and either way the site is going to be amazing :)

For a feature: would be great to have a google map mashup. Clicking on each pinpoint pops up name, city, state, pic (optional), and link to testimonial.

Both domains are currently registered. Have the owners been contacted to see if they'll let us use them?

I was under the impression that our people already had them and offered them for use. Perhaps not, anybody know?

Forget the other options. We need Ron Paul's name in the URL, because that is what we want people to search.

As a search engine tip, I would suggest we-are-Ron-Paul.com. Because the hyphens let Google know that they are different words.

With a good link campaign, we could place that site in the first results of Google, so when people type "Who is Ron Paul", the first website would be "we-are-Ron-Paul.com".

We are Ron Paul is good because it ties in, like someone else said, the answer to "Who Is Ron paul?" Also, weareronpaul.com is registered by Godaddy. You can just buy it off them.

It's registered to a private owner but there's no way to get the contact info since it's privately registered (DomainsByProxy)

So unless someone here has already contacted the owner about weareronpaul.com, we may have to get a .net or .org until the .com owner comes around.

We-are-Ron-Paul.com is available for immediate purchase.

Seriously, the hyphens really help for search engine positioning.

It also is a pain to tell people where to go when speaking. I'm sure that we can find SOME WAY to make sure that a google of "We Are Ron Paul" will show this website first :)

WeTheRevolution has a much better ring to it, and it has the possibility of retaining members once Paul's presidency has run its course.

I like both but that's why I voted for the revolution one.
