Bump for the blimp..! The local media and people love the blimp! The local media has been getting free rides and informing those who area the blimp is entering on the news. People who have seen it say that they were warned on T.V. and that people everywhere were looking at it. In the areas the blimp flies it has been causing a frenzy.. the very thing we hoped for! We have to band behind the blimp project and give them the funds to get this on to New York! (Currently it's approaching Boston) ;)

I was against the blimp initially. I thought that it was a poor way to reach voters, and I thought that the company's set-up was a bit sketchy. However, I am now a convert.

The blimp's greatest effect is the press it generates, not the actual people who see it. I think that we have seen a lot more positive articles about the good Doctor as a direct result of the blimp, and I would like this to continue.

If we fail to fund the blimp's continued presence in the sky, we will have hurt the campaign worse than not having the blimp in the first place ever would.

Please donate.

I donated to the blimp yesterday... It looks like donations are picking up but not enough to meet the deadline.

It would be a real waste to come within 100k and have all that work go to waste when the blimp was just getting started.

Is it not possible to get a loan, mortgage a house, rob a bank...(joooke!) I know its cold over there but whereever the blimp flies you could get your meet-up groups of whereever you are to run around with big donation buckets to repay the loan.
If and when we start having marches, donation buckets drag in heaps of money because people get inspired. All you need is a couple of people to be brave enough to take a financial risk. Or a group of you could sign a pact you will support someones' mortgage extension, if the money does not come flooding back in.

Trouble is it is Christmas, money is tight just before Christmas and you have only a day. Durn!

It's like the money isn't coming in too fast now.

If they fall short by like 100k the campaign could always buy out the last $100,000 as advertising and that would be a huge bargin. This option must be considered if on saturday the blimp isn't fully funded. Isn't it time the campaign gave something back to the grassroots, this is a symboitic relationship we need each other.

This is Blimp part 3, this has happened before. Same ol show. Money short right down to the wire, anti blimp people vent profusely how they despise the managment comparing them to the Bush Administration, people post trying to get people to purchase air time that dont know about the dead line.

At the last minute before the clock strikes midnight the blimp is fully funded for another 2 weeks. Media report it, it flies people that were anti blimp become converts and its the greatest thing thats ever happened. Im going to go get some popcorn, so far blimp 1 and 2 have been good endings. Go Blimp!

All True!

However, this Part III seems to have more of a nail-biting cliffhanger. Parts I and II both ended with actual communications about what was happening, an extension to the end of the day for the deadline, and a rush of incoming funds. So far we haven't seen the 'Reveal" that kicks off the money infusion.

Will the blimp Team fess up about the "legal troubles" in time? Feels like one of those old movie serials.

On Edit: BTW, I am a Blimp supporter and sponsor. Just trying to goad the organizers into taking action by pointing out the obvious.

Did an extensive search though the threads here because I wanted to know myself. The info I found from McKarnin says they CANNOT accept from foreigners.

Bummer. That doesn't seem right. They are not donating to the campaign. Americans overseas can still contribute can't they? Alot of them are on the international section.

I am not opposed to the Blimp. I guess you could say I support it but have not donated ( I mean "purchased" advertising).

I would say that if the Blimp venture is the real business it claims it is, maybe they should look into selling advertising space to other candidates ( or commercial ventures). That is if enough RP candidates don't value it enough to support it.

What do we need, like 10000 people to buy $10.00 worth of advertising? 1000 to buy $100? I'm in for $10.00 tomorrow, and I'll match 10 more ad space purchasers of ten dollars each for a total of $110 tomorrow. Tomorrow is payday and for some Christmas bonus time. Stick at least $10 in if you can. Post here if you'll match me ten for ten.

I think the majority of the Ron Paul Nation is kinda tapped out right now. Unless there are some wealthy benefactors out there that want to contribute.

The blimp is VERY important. It has a multiplier effect even if it doesn't generate revenue as a company which I think it will the cost of advertising that it generates is much more effective than any TV ad. Plus it is non-intrusive and strikes people's curiosity about Ron Paul. Remember we want people to seek Ron Paul and find the truth about this humble and honest Statesman. We have lived under lying politicians for so long that apathy is rampant. But those that find him and the truth behind him get awed at his record and his principled integrity. Let's Do this.

Save the Blimp!!! I did what I could now can you do what you can!!!

Let it not be said that we did nothing, RP
