I have two questions I'd like you to answer in this poll, and then post your reasonings on why you answered the way you did on the following two questions:

1. Is it important for us to reach $20 million in donations by Dec. 31st?

2. Is it likely that we can and/or will reach $20 million by Dec. 31st?

1) Yes, it is important, because this will have a tremendous impact on the opinions of voters, in my opinion, when they see the first GOP candidate that was able to cross the $20 Million barrier and start entering the DNC Front Runner fundraising tier (without any loaning of money from one's personal fortune or from contributions of lobbyists). IMO, we MUST reach the $20 Million.

2) We're going to need a Mini Bomb where we go for it. We'll raise about $50,000 a day up until the end of the year, but this won't put us over the $20 Million mark at this rate.

We definitely should do the New Year's Eve mini bomb to make it happen.

Where is the poll?

1. Yes it is important, but there are more important issues right now.
The time for the first caucuses is upon us, and we should be placing our money, and efforts in getting more votes.

Better donate to the blimp, or operation nh, or operation live free, or DVD bomb, or any other grassroots effort that can have an impact right now.

I just don't think the $20M figure is paramount...it would be nice, though. I think, instead of boosting donations to that level, we should concentrate on building up his 1st Q levels in the New Year. Much more important, I believe.

Does anyone know if there is another candidate who is likely to raise more than $20 million in the 4th quarter? Dem or Rep?

In other words, if we go over $20 million - is someone else already close to beating that record?

All we need is a New Year's Eve mini-bomb with everyone chipping in $25. That'll get us there if everybody shows up. $50 each would be sure to get us there.

I think 20 is very notable for media. It has a psychological impact more so than 18.9 or 19.5 or something. Paul will probably get more mentions for his fund raising.

I think that keeping the BLIMP in the air is more important than hitting the $20mil mark.

Ron is having problems SPENDING, not problems RAISING. Lets keep our other grassroots projects alive first. Most importantly, the BLIMP!

We don't need it for a while and everyone is largely tapped out and holiday strapped too.
It will come when we need it.

Well, so far, (and it may change) 66% believe it is important to reach the $20 million mark by Dec. 31st.

Wondering what is the best way to reach that goal by Dec. 31st? -- one "mini" money bomb on New Year's Eve, or slow and steady donations up to Dec. 31, or other methods?

Also wondering if we do hit that $20 mil mark - is there another Dem or Rep candidate who might go above that, thus taking the "shock and awe" out of us reaching this goal?

Media likes round numbers.

Fund the blimp first, but as that will be sorted out by tomorrow, we should then go for $20 mil. We need funding for all the super Tuesday states.

If you think we need to raise the $20 million, please vote in this other poll (and comment) on the viability of a New Year's Eve money bomb:
