I need some good books to read

I just got done with school for the semester, and have nearly 3 weeks off. I will spend most of that time spreading the word of Ron Paul to anyone I see, but I do work. Well, I work nighwatch at a dorm (I check IDs as they enter the building), and I would say only 10% of the residents stay in the dorms for Christmas break, which leaves me staring at a wall for 6 hours.

So, what are some good books I can read to get some more background information on how the country has come to be in shambles and how Ron Paul makes so much sense? Thanks!

If you want to understand neoconservatism read

Natan Sharansky's The Case for Democracy The Power of Freedom to Overcome Tyranny and Terror

It is a must read for every American. Ultimately, I disagree with how neoconservatives have implemented his ideas but the ideas are worth reading. Natan Sharansky is an important person who represents the best of neoconservatism.

I am a Libertarian, by the way. I do not endorse his views, but I respect them.
