You guys have to read this energy bill that just became law

Government just got a whole lot bigger today. This bill is going to limit our choices and increase the cost of everything.

Dr. Paul is absolutely right, the Fed has no reason to be doing this, the market can sort out the problems we face far better than they can, with their law degrees and lack of energy expertise. Maybe it's a corporate hand out in the making.

I think we will reach 35 mpg without this bill. With the cost of gas going up consumers will naturally want to buy vehicles with better gas mileage.

The bad part of the bill is all the tax subsidies. The bill is nothing but a gift to agribusiness. The big farms will benefit not only outright cash payments but from the increased cost of corn due to it being diverted to make ethanol. There is no environmental advantage to ethanol.
