Successful impact of Overnight campaign:

“Google Ron Paul,” says a homemade sign on Gervais Street as you drive into Columbia from the west.

Well, that’s one way to find out about the libertarian-leaning congressman from Texas. You’ll learn Paul is an OB-GYN who’s against the Iraq war, has voted against every congressional pay raise and doesn’t take part in the generous pension system the representatives and senators have set up for themselves.

Boston Herald shows Ron Paul some love:

Myspace is Paul’s space
Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas is not only the most popular presidential candidate on youth-focused social network Internet sites such as facebook.com and myspace, but he now has raised more funds than presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), according to ABC News.
Paul now has a remarkable $2.4 million, compared to McCain’s $2 million. His successful campaigning and strong fund raising are a sign of the surge in grassroots support that he has received.
He is now in third place behind candidates Rudy Giuliani ($18 million) and Mitt Romney ($12 million), but he is remaining positive. In a ABC interview, Paul was quoted as saying, “I think some of the candidates are on the downslope, and we’re on the up slope.”
It’s good to know that at least some presidential candidates are genuine and optimistic.

Some New York Times love:

Let’s just say there won’t be a whole lot of word-mincing on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” on Sunday. Guests include Representative John Conyers, the Democratic chairman of the House Judiciary Committee who will hold hearings next week to examine presidential pardons. “We’re going to review all of them, including Clinton’s, Bush one, Bush two, we’ll go back as far as they want,” he told Fox News Radio. “This Week” also has Representative Ron Paul and former Senator Mike Gravel, who are running for the G.O.P. and Democratic presidential nominations, respectively, and are known for their uninhibited debate styles and small-but-enthusiastic supporter bases."

Eww, I didn't realize that Ron Paul was given time on ABC because they consider him akin to Mike Gravel.

Eww, I didn't realize that Ron Paul was given time on ABC because they consider him akin to Mike Gravel.

No big deal, its 2.66 million viewers and we'll take it in a heartbeat. Also, the interviews went together extremely well.

Edit: And Ron Paul's California rally starts in 45 minutes, for you Bay area people.
