He can't.
Any pro-war repub CAN NOT defeat the dem nominee: 70% of the country is against the war, and rightly or wrongly the democrats are still thought of as the anti-war party.

They're pushing Huckabee now because this paves the way for a smooth easy victory for Hillary.

He's obviously doing this as a political tactic. Huckabee came out and said Bush's foreign policy was arrogant and bunker-like, so Romney saw this as a chance to attack, and is taking all the steps his strategists tell him to maximize the most from this opportunity. That's all these sleazeballs think about.
