on cnn right now. dean was comparing republicans seeking the nomination and mentioned ron paul's position on the iraq war. this was in the context of who has a better chance of winning the general election vs a democrat.

+1 He said every republican candidate BUT Ron Paul wants to continue the war in Iraq. I'm just happy he even mentioned Ron Paul!

Can we take that as an endorsement for Ron PauL?

It's like there's a conspiracy among board members to be total nutjobs.

Topic like these are how death threats get made to hosts of TV and radio shows.

no that would be the way some people do it, but that is not true and indeed harmful. Because a name is uttered it does not mean an endorsement.
and well the chairman of the DNC endorsing would absolutely KILL the primary run.

I hope not... that's enough right there to convince a lot of likely Republican primary voters to skip Paul.
We need that sort of bi-partisan support in the general, not the primary.

I don't want to hijack this topic, but could somebody please explain to me what was so appealing about Howard Dean?

Though I didn't see it, I think it is more accurately just someone stating a fact- a very far cry from an endorsement.

I hear you both,
I was being a little off the wall at the thinking on these people.
