How the Oil industry thrives on big government

With taxes and inflation at high levels fewer people are able to afford electric cars. So then the oil industry is needed to fill up cars with gasoline. The oil industry has every excuse to drill in Alaska and fight wars overseas so they can drill for oil.

We should not be dependent on foreign oil but more importantly, gov't should not be involved in regulating business so competition could challenge the oil industry and introduce alternative energies to the market.
