Do you have clearance through the DC airspace or do you have to divert around downtown? Will you pass over Arlington VA... The pilot should know and it would be good information. Several big media outlets are right in downtown Arlington.

Looks like there was a big fire at the Executive office building in downtown DC. Lots of news crews... It would be great to fly right over the White House.. shouldn't be an issue right :/

The Blimp was a great Idea but I strongly feel the Idea is being misdirected. We should let the media seek the Blimp instead of the Blimp seeking them. Let's Get a Blimp/ or the Blimp to Both the BCS GAME and THE SUPER BOWL! WE raised 6 million dollars in one day surely we can make this happen. Both these games will be media circuses with reporters from all over the country there. usually a 100 reporters for every little story and usaully the biggest story has nothing to do with the game. Wouldn't it be nice if that story was the blimp. An ADded Bonus is that both games should have good weather. LET's Make it Happen!

Well, it would require work, gathering the information. Maybe asking here for us to submit names, numbers.

But I dont think random people calling in without complete information is going to motivate any of the news crews to go on a wild goose hunt. This is why I was such an advocate of paying these guys. So we would have dedicated, professional and organized media relations so that we would be able to maximize the initial investment by hitting the media with an organized one two punch.

It would be nice to have a detailed flight path with cities they plan to fly over. Right now I am hitting all of the outlets in Richmond with less than an house notice and I'm not even sure they'll fly over Richmond.

This is exactly what we have been bitching about. We have been bitching that we have no information, that we aren't asked to help, that our input on important decisions isn't sought.

The blimp doesn't have enough money to be a corporation. We have to do our part. They let us know what they need done, we get it done. If we need more information to get it done, ask. Then get it done.

I agree, it's getting wasteful. Why no blog entry on the flight path? Why the route that was chosen. At first glance it seems rediculous.
