So I checked out the Lew Rockwell article on Ron Paul Mr. Republican, and looked at his other stuff, only being partially familiar with his articles. Some more reading leads me to the bottom of his website where it says this:

"Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. [send him mail] is founder and president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama, editor of LewRockwell.com, and author of Speaking of Liberty."

So this automatically sparks my interest because, I'm currently attending Auburn University which of course is in Auburn, AL. So I find out that this massive libertarian think tank has been about 3 miles from where I'm living right now. Here is the website for the institute....

http://www.mises.org/

And a link to their online media library which is FREE! This has tons of awesome books(audio and ebook), articles and video from very respected members of the libertarian movement about the very principles Ron Paul's views are based off of.

Anyways.... an amazing discovery....I can't believe this was so close to me all along. I hope many people can get some use of this. I'm sure many people know about this, but I'm also sure many others would like to know about this resource.

Lew was the CoS in Paul's Congressional office back in the early days.

Mises is a lot more deep than Lewrockwell. I have to psych myself up to read stuff like that, but I absolutely love it.

For those who haven't read these books, I highly recommend them. They are written by a student of Mises, and some of Ron Paul's favorite books (mine too) ;)

I love their motto

(paraphrased from latin), "Do not concede to evil, but move more boldly against it"

I'm currently reading Rothbard's Man, Economy & State (with Power and Market) as we speak.

It's not for the faint of heart. The preface is 80(!) pages...and that does not include the Table of Contents. However, I'm 50 pages (of nearly 1400) in to the main text, and I'm already convinced that I will learn more from this book than I did in several semesters of econ classes in college.

It's amazing that I had to read Adam Smith, Keynes, etc. in college, and never even stumbled across Rothbard. Then again, this doesn't surprise me all that much, it being a public university and all.

Mises.org is probably the single best resource I know of on the web.

Check out the media tab. Especially check out Rothbard's video lecture "The Founding of the Federal Reserve" and Tom Woods' lectures on American History, especially "Thomas Jefferson and the Principles of 1798."
