not surprising... here in Iowa Guiliani is about as popular as a naked fat man doing handstands in a crowded mall.

Sweet! Only 5% away from 3rd place.

I think 3rd place in Iowa is guaranteed. I'm so happy!

Sorry, Iowa doesn't work like that. I hate to be a buzz kill. Caucuses aren't necessarily based on popular vote they're based on plurality vote. For example given this certain scenario in any given precinct, Ron Paul could lose.

Ron Paul 40%
Huckabee 26%
Romney 15%
Thompson 9%
Tancredo 4%
Guiliani 6%

Huckabee supporters join Romney supporters ... that's 41% Their delegates go to the convention... excluding Ron Paul's

Another scenario Huckabee joins with Thompson And Guiliani supporters that again is 41% ... to get a delegate who won't support Ron Paul at the convention.

These are just two scenarios where Ron Paul loses delegates. This sort of thing happens all the time at caucuses. That's how they are different from primaries. People can join together to spite a candidate... and somehow I have this feeling that there might be a lot of that going on at the caucuses that's why we need a torrent of supporters attending caucuses. We need 50.1% in any given caucus site to make sure we select the delegates.
