you guys must not fly often... Sewing/needlepoint/knitting needles are allowed on planes. So are nail files.

And these types of giveaways were realllly common in local politics not that long ago. Sewing kits, combs, nail files, all sorts of hokey crap. Older people, in particular, loved them. Freddy's trying to tap into the hokeyness, and with some people, I'm sure it will actually be a hit.
