I'm afraid I may have procrastinated too long, I hope someone here can help me.

I need to re-register as a Republican so I can vote for Ron Paul, and I need to know if it's too late to do that. I also want to know when the actually election is so I can vote, it would suck if I missed that.

I know it varies from state to state but it's surprisingly hard to find this kind of information when I need it. I found this: http://election.dos.state.fl.us/online/elecdate.shtml

2008 Election Dates

Presidential Preference Primary: January 29, 2008
Primary Election: August 26, 2008

^ What exactly is the difference between those two?

If you're in Florida, you have to the end of the month. I'd mail it out TODAY to be sure.

Jan 29 is the Presidential primary. I believe it's just for the Presidential candidates. Don't quote me on that though...I've seen political ads for city mayer of city council so their primaries may be then too in some areas.

Aug 26 is for state and local offices I believe. I'm looking into running for state house and I believe that's when my primary would be.

I see, thank you.

Check out PledgeForPaul.com (http://www.pledgeforpaul.com). It should have all the info along with this map (http://ronpaulgraphs.com/pledgeforpaul.html).

Ah! Cool website, thanks.

So the party change deadline is twelve days from now at the end of this month, and the election as at the end of January. Great!
