< $20,000 to pass Romneys 3rd quarter cash.
Romney led Republican fund raising last quarter and we are about to surpass him.
Can we do it by the end of the day?

Romney 3rd quarter $18,396,719.00

Paul currently $18,380,020.00

And that includes the $8.5 million he gave to himself last quarter.

I'm wondering when we are going to really make a push at hitting 20 million. These money bombs seem to deflate the donation rate so badly during the week. I know it's getting around Christmas time so that is an excuse. It would be nice though to see him just embarass the other candidates.

The real record to beat is Romney's first quarter, 21 mil!

Yes it does.

There are a few small "moneybombs" scheduled and everyone should anticipate a last minute push by the official campaign during the last few days or last week of December. I believe we will break $20. $21 may be more difficult.

This is all good. It doesn't matter how much we raise because Romney will loan himself whatever it takes to beat us. We have enough cash to do the best we possibly can in Iowa & New Hampshire.

We did it, by the way. $18,398,845.00 at the time of writing this post.

I wish we could squeeze out an extra 3 million for the end of the year, to beat his Q1 funds.

Why?

Why?
1) It'll be icing on the cake when we are announced as the campaign with the most funds for Q4.
2) Money is good

I guess, but look where Romney got all his money...

The media can't ignore it when it is announced that the campaign has more funds than anyone else.

And then look where Paul gets all of his. ;)

At this point I'm thoroughly convinced that much of the media can ignore us regardless of what we accomplish.

QFT. Stop trying to get the Old Media to treat us fairly or pay attention. We need to move beyond them. Their legitimacy is waning.

Romney will loan himself enough money to beat us, no matter what. The trick is that we need the media to mention where his funds are coming from.
