After looking at 500+ comments on ABC, most of them a spontaneous outpouring of congratulations to Dr. Paul, all worded differently, all clearly not the work of spammers... but concerned Americans, I think RP has struck a nerve out there. He has tapped into something like Perot did in 1992 or Reagan in 1980.
This sure isn't what I saw, reading John Kerry forums in 2004. People kept squirming in their support, there were numerous threads from groups trying to get Kerry to budge on various positions. People would rationalize their support, or feel like they "had to" vote for him.
In the RP movement, there is some disagreement, but people are willing to bury a few issues, to see the man elected.
