Door-to-door advice?

I want to start doing this...are there any words of advice? We will be doing this without help of the meetup. What do we bring? Just slim-jims? We pretty much know Dr. Paul's positions by heart. I am a little nervous to put myself out there like this, but then again it may be fun to have some civic discourse and convert some people. Any legality issues that I need to be aware of?

slim jims, brochures, handouts, whatever you can give to help them understand what dr. paul's positions are. be polite and don't overstep bounds. what's best is to go door to door with a head full of knowledge on dr. paul's platform and just use the handouts to give them something to read after you leave. if you see signs that say no soliciting, best stay away from those houses because my experience is that they get pissed off that you even came to their door.
