It seems like most of the artitcle is about the money and not the message. Still, good coverage.

I love it... BUT - this needs to be on "old media" too - this is where the older voters get their manipulation, I mean 'news'.

Earlier this year, Romney's presidential exploratory committee said it had pulled in around $6.5 million in a 24-hour period, though that haul included both donations and pledges for future donations. The current record belongs to Democrat John Kerry, whose presidential campaign received $5.7 million in a single day during the 2004 race.
you have got to be kidding me....how do they throw this crap in?
I pledge to give Ron Paul 100 trillion dollars the future....Ron Paul wins!

CNN is priming for the Glenn Beck show tonight on CNN Headline News.
It's about time we saw some front page coverage on Ron Paul.

Why does it say John Kerry holds the current record of 5.7 million at the end of this article?

Hoping all the people that are talking about marches or protests understood this part of the article:
Although so much money was raised on the Internet, the campaign said it knows "good old-fashioned politics" such as knocking on doors in New Hampshire is needed to get votes, according to a campaign spokesman.
Marching and protesting are an inefficient use of time to get out the vote. Canvassing WILL secure actual votes and MORE money. If you have time to march/protest, you most likely have time to canvass about 100 people instead. I'm not saying marches/sign waving aren't a good thing, I'm just saying at this point canvassing should be taking up way more time. And if you convert a hardcore supporter who is willing to put a sign out, then you have a PERMANENT sign wave from that person ;)

Why does it say John Kerry holds the current record of 5.7 million at the end of this article?
Because until the quarter ends, Kerry will still be the "official" record-holder, though the bulk of the article belies this. It's the old media's way of saying "youtube or it didn't happen." :D

And it didn't cost the campaign a thing more importantly. I wonder how much money the other campaigns have spent to pull in more donations ;)

Too bad i get redirected to CNN International here and when i go to the U.S. section all i see is trivial articles like Natalee Holloway's disappearance. I don't even see it when i go to the U.S. Politics section.
Anyone have a direct link to the article(s) for me please.
