I could see Ron asking Jim Sinclair (www.jsmineset.com is his free blog) to be the Treasury Secretary.
Jim was on the short list to be under Nixon many years ago but didn't accept/wasn't selected.
Jim is a HUGE advocate of Gold as he understands that it is more of a currency than a commodity. He has run hedge funds in the past and is well respected in the financial markets.
He's currently CEO of a public company (Tanzanian Royalty Explorations) but he could be a possible guy.
Here was his (transcript) speach at a recent AMEX luncheon. Notice what he thinks is going on with the dollar and where Gold will go (and when)

Here is a link to hear it live: http://origin.vcall.com/CustomEvent/conferences/AMEX/041107/day1.htm (12:00 - Tanazania Royalty)
IMO, it will HAVE to be someone WELL versed in Gold...an there aren't many out there with impressive resumes that are American Citizens.
