Hmmm, this sounds like an attempt to legitimize their poll numbers. Ironically, using an online poll, which they usually give no real creedence.

I don't like the question. I do have a landline phone, but I rarely use it and it is basically for emergencies, and I never answer calls from strange or unknown numbers, which will naturally include polls.

Then it is up to you, as an intelligent poll responder, to decide what the right answer is. It can reasonably be assumed that the goal of the poll (ha! I rhymed) is to determine who /uses/ their landline, not who owns one.

In any type of multiple choice test/poll you have to decide the /best/ answer, which is not always the /right/ answer in the literal sense.

Human beings come up with these questions, so the wording may mean something different to them than it does to you, perception is everything.

Just answer in the best way you know how, you're not going to get indicted for purjury or anything.

We don't even have to win a majority to prove that land-line polls are retarded, just proving that 25% don't have a landline would affect a poll greatly.

Push it up to 40% and we have a winner, make it backfire in their faces.

The cell phone question is a result of this article... nothing to do with political polling: http://money.cnn.com/2007/12/18/technology/cell_phone.ap/index.htm?cnn=yes

Define "landline" LOL... I'm nothin' but VoIP, baby, but it's the same number as our old landline...

I know this, but thousands of others voters won't consider that.
