Thank you Llepard. This must represent a big sacrifice for you. We're very grateful.

I think a lot of guys on the boards have felt a bit frustrated over the last 24hrs at the way the media have belittled the tea party. But Llepard has the right idea. Just fight back harder.

Add this to Dr Paul spending the money raised on ads and really we have good cause to be optimistic. Person to person, door-to-door, local paper to local paper, fight to spread the word and we can wipe the smirk off the faces of every Fox news presenter.

Thanks for the praise. All credit goes to RP, the Founders and the message.

I am just infected with the virus. My wife thinks I have lost it.

A couple of points.

One, I have given up on Iowa. I think NH is our best chance for a break out.

Two, I do not have bottomless resources.

Three, I am not a Hedge Mogul, as described in the article. I am an investor. I have spent my entire career investing in growing enterprises. What really gets me excited is finding a new or different idea that the world needs and then investing in it and trying to help that idea to spread.

I know some Hedge Moguls and I do not have a whole lot of respect for what they do and how they do it. Although I am a financial type, I believe a lot of financial types have lost their sense of fiduciary duty to their investee companies and to their investors. A good example of an investor I generally admire is Warren Buffet.

We are presently thinking about Friday, Dec. 28th. Figure people will be relaxing. Planning their weekend. Right before the primary.

I am also considering running it in the New York Times. It is expensive.

Thank you for the New Hampshire newspaper advertisements. You are a man with a heart and a conscience and are a great Patriot.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to speak with Mr. Lyman (of the blimp and Liberty Advertising) to co-ordinate some funding to help with this if Mr. Lepard would agree?

Could we not somehow use Liberty Advertising for this and other projects if the people involved agree?

I cannot offer much but Iwould be willing to chip in some dollars to help.

Mr. Llepard what about the Union Leader in NH? If you go with the UL i would recommend Sandi as your rep, she is a fan of Ron Paul and i use to work with her to promote my business in Manchester before it went under. 8( It was a pleasure working with her though.
Also there are tons of little weekly newspapers in New Hampshire which actually get a good amount of readership.

Cheers,

If we can give millions for the Tea Party, I believe we can find a way to support Mr. Lepard also in his most sincerely patriotic and heartfelt effort to help Ron Paul.

Reaching people is so important and newspaper ads can do that.

His original letter was eloquently written and speaks perfectly to me about our country and where we are going and want to go.

Larry,

Thanks for doing what we all wish we could do.

Re: NY; I would think it might be better to focus all efforts on NH. If we can win there, additional ads in NY and other places may be far less necessary. And I imagine one ad in NY might buy 8 or 10 in NH.

Just make sure it has some attention getting items so people will be drawn to read it.. also, just make sure you have RON PAUL"s name big so as to make some name association......

Maybe at the bottom, put something about how the other candidates are just shills for the elites and not in "our" best interests..

Is it possible to integrate an ad campaign with your investment vehicles?

e.g. Geo & EMA?

We're in the initial planning stages for a new media network,
and at first thought I don't see why we couldn't begin with an ad campaign.

I believe we'd have to start a new for-profit Corporation to do it.

There's quite a bit of high-level support on the forum for this project already.

New Media Network Project Coordination Thread

I guess we have to start somewhere. You know, "the longest journey begins with the first step".

(new thread with the same idea) http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=58553

.
A few days before Cimbri (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/member.php?u=6500) started this thread:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=51283

I had basically the same idea.

I searched for several domain names, and eventually settled upon this one: NewPress.tv for a few reasons.

**1. Due to the mistreatment of Ron by the "Old Press/Media". I felt we needed a "New Press/Media", and NewPress.tv was available.

.
**2. In honor of what llepard (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/member.php?u=239) described the Internet as in his letter to Amy Schatz of the WSJ posted that was here:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?p=458578&highlight=Gutenberg+Press+USA+Today#post458578

"The internet changes the rules of the game. Think Gutenberg press and reformation."

And 10thAmendmentMan (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/member.php?u=1731) described as "Gutenberg 2.0!" in post #8.

i.e. The Gutenberg Press 2.0

i.e. The "New" Gutenberg "Press"

.
**3. We needed a new TV Network to combat the old TV networks.

~~~~~~~~~
Thus, NewPress.tv and the motto "A New Press for the New Millennium"
Well, that's basically my reasoning for the name, and I also just purchased NewPressTV.com
Of course, this isn't my project, it's our project, so of course, the name is obviously still open for discussion.
For now, I'll begin sifting through the threads already started about the project for pertinent information and repost it in this thread.
Along with everybody else involved in this for that matter. I thought all hope for this country was lost but people like yourself, Vijay, Trevor et. al. have given me more hope than I ever thought I could have.
Can somebody set up a chip in for this? I've just about maxed myself out with the Tea Party but I too have 'the virus', and I'd be more than happy to donate to help Mr. Lepard run his ads.
Mr. Lepard I know you don't have unlimited resources but perhaps we can help give them to you, or at least help to stretch those limits.
Lawrence,
I think that you should probably do some preliminary talking to some professional marketing people.
What catches peoples eyes ----
What interests them..
What points should you address?
You might also want to do the ad AS IF ITS A story.... Have a picture or two.. with your message, and then some saleant points.....
Also, why he is better than the others..
************************************************** **
Alot of NH people read the Boston Globe, so if you are targeting NH - you might want to forgo NY TIMES and do the Boston Glob.
Why don't we discuss... if you want to talk via phone.. PM me.
this is alot of money to haphazardly throw around......
A chipin for something like this may begin to enter the realm of the FEC in terms of needing a PAC.
It'd be better if we all just gave Larry a personal Christmas gift of money
and that way he could continue in the way of Independent Expenditures.
Hey, anyone have a problem with me starting a chipin for a Christmas present for Larry?
And then giving him the money to buy what he really wants whenever he wants to buy it?
Good idea? Bad idea? Dumb idea? Thoughts?
