Between me and my husband we have donated somewhere around $800 to the official campaign. As meetup organizers we have spent around $1200 for materials for our group.

1500? YOU ROCK!!!!

Yeah, I kinda do rock, I agree:D

BUT in all seriousness, I think the time and effort any one of us could put in getting out there and talking to even just 100 people in any given quarter is worth more than the max 2300 that you could give. Keep giving the cash, but remember, word of mouth is worth more than any amount of money you can give because if you get just 50 passionate supporters, thats 50 more people that will do the same thing you are doing.

Hey folks, it's not how much you donate but simply the fact that you do. All of you who donated even just 20 dollars are part of that good news we heard today...8)

To date, $350 dollars...More to follow when we can. Let's get this man elected people! He's got a ways to go before he can go toe-to-toe with that fascist Ghouliani!

I sent $50 in 2Q but have spent about 200.00 in on making signs and car magnets printing fliers and my latest purchuse of 5000 buisness cards sporting RP views i will be sending more dont you worry

btw these were posted elsewhere here but its such a great deal ill post again
99 cents for 250 cards, FREE SHIPPING.

So i ordered 20 sets. put in your favorite ron paul topic:D

Its limited to 3 setups types i picked the first one it had the most space.Anyhow thats 0.00396 per card and thats 2.5 cards per penny. I am not thinking you going find any better than that for cheep advertising and good for back up if the campaign stuff don't get to us! i don't know how long this sale is going to last. so hurry! they might end it soon when they see huge numbers of cards being printed
The print shops will know who Ron Paul is soon.

Well said, give as much as you can, but more importantly, get out there and spread the word. Make his name known to everyone you talk to. Even someone only donating 1 dollar can do more than someone that gave $2300 just by handing out flyers to people. Imagine how much someone like Romney is paying for just one vote. Probably 30 bucks a vote if you broke it down. The money will help pay for travel and ads, but the real support that means something will come from the people out there talking him up.

I could only afford $175. More will be coming once I start my new job in August.

It should be noted as well, that it's true that the amount isn't as important as the networking, but money does talk. One strategic commercial has the ability to introduce Paul to hundreds of thousands, and probably more. These commercials though cost money. Paul said on a couple of occasions (Bill Maher and a radio interview I think) that he wanted (or needed) $100 million.

So far, I have given I think ~$300 in cash to the campaign

PROJECTED in the next week:
1 t-shirt - $10
10 stickers - $10
200 tele pole signs - ~$250
7 huge banners - ~$120
500 pamphlets/business cards - $50

I am just getting started.....

$400 in Q2 to the campaign
Spent $450 in supplies in Q3.
I will be donating at least $400 to campaign in Q3.

I'm guilty of not being able to spend as much time at the Meetups as most of you guys, but I'll try to make it up in Q3 and also by donating more.

$60 to the campaign...(I have 5 children!!)

$350 went to yard signs, bumper stickers, and brochures to hand out at our recent event. Being in Florida, an early primary state, I felt it would be better served if my $300 went to getting Ron's name out there now!!

We'll give another $150 in Q3. Trying to do $50/month.

$400 to the campaign, $50 to the DVD, another $200 for local activities. I think the amount folks have put in on their own to their local groups and efforts will make up for the supposed shortfall in peoples expectations for the quarter.

I heard about Ron Paul in 2003 and liked him, and I didn't take him seriously until shortly after the first debate. I donated $75 for 2nd quarter. If I see continued support growth, I'll donate some more each month.

I'm one! I made a monthly pledge of $10.00. I know it's not much, and I'm embarrassed :o to post with all the Benjamins being tossed around. I don't know how to prove it to you, it'll be 20 months before they have to report me I think.

But I did get to Des Moines and was part of the rally there all day. I am working on getting elected to the GOP convention in my state, and thence to national.

Later.

And that's the best damn money that I've ever spent.

Sounds like people spent as much or more in private expenditures as they did in campaign contributions. I think that's made us more effective, but just imagine if we had put that all into the campaign. RP would have raised $5 million, and I would have loved to have seen Stephie's face at that.

'Course, RP would have had to have spent more. We're doing it right -- grassroots all the way!

I disagree. I expect many of these folks to end up "maxed out" at $2300 ( primary ) and many more to max out again in the general election ( another $2300 ) and all that in addition to multiple independent support spending such as 10,000 Liberty Cards (http://www.libertytalk.com/liberty_card.php) for $300 ( now with the updated photo of Dr. Paul ) and Banners and signs and buttons and action figures ( just kidding about the action figure, he he hehehe he he ) and thus the Ron Paul campaign can continue out-not spending the other candidates and yet pull ahead of them creating an impossible psychological barrier. The more they spend the more foolish they look and the more frugal our good Dr. looks by comparison. Passion beats mere self-interest every darned last time, by golly!
