Here's an interesting movement we could start... and it costs nothing but a few minutes each week.
For all of us who buy gasoline (because we have to anyway)..
Let's go inside to pre-pay and ask the clerk to pre-set the pump for $17.76
I realize this means we may have to buy gas twice as often and actually go inside.. but if enough people started doing this, it could raise some eyebrows.
If you encounter a clerk who says "you're the 3rd person today whose bought 1776" or asks "why are so many people buying 1776 worth of gas?" you could answer by saying "This is Phase I of a peaceful revolution against our government's blood-for-oil foreign policy. In Phase II, we will elect Dr. Ron Paul as President. Let's end the war in Iraq." Then be prepared to hand the clerk a slimjim or liberty card.
Ok, that needs some wordsmithing and all, but it seems like there should be a way to strategize this to be really meaningful, and even to generate some press releases about it.
Yes? No?
