Go here:

http://projects.washingtonpost.com/2008-presidential-candidates/rudy-giuliani/

Check out the "Noteworthy Donors" about halfway down the page. It says Kelsey Grammar (Dr. Frasier Crane) donated $4600.

The FEC says that the max an individual can donate is $2300.

Not sure what to think about it.

From RonPaul2008.com...

Individuals may contribute up to $2,300.00. Couples may contribute up to $4,600.00. Contributions are not tax deductible. Corporate contributions are prohibited.

Very true...I forgot that some candidates are taking general election donations already. Nice catch...;)

I think Ron Paul is the only candidate who ISN'T taking contributions for the general election.

I didn't know people could already donate to the GE (or that a candidate could accept that money if they are not yet running that race).

Anyway, this Washington Post site has it listed by individual contributions to each candidate. It doesn't say anywhere that these $$ totals are combined primary and GE totals. It also lists spouses separately.

Really it's a pretty cool site, you can look up by zipcode everyone that they think is a "notable donor." How you get that status, I'm not sure. But it's still kinda neat.

Like I said, not sure what to think of it.
