It takes courage to stand up to the people that Ron is standing up to. Will these people actually take a stand and come out and endorse Dr. Paul? If so we need to get someone on board and quick.

How about getting Goldwater Jr. out on the campaign trail with Ron?

Mel Gibson baby!!!

Goldwater Jr. yes.

Mel Gibson no. No no no no. Absolutely no. Will definitely not help with the Jewish vote, and we already have the obstacle of trying to explain why Ron doesn't support foreign aid to Israel.

Magnum still gets the ladies. I'm 32 and think he's hot. So's Sam Elliott.

Er... Nolan Ryan is Ron Paul's good friend. That's a good one to start with--someone with a history of knowing Ron Paul.

Gibson would ruin the campaign.

How about a little less Mel.

I like Mel though.

Nolan Ryan. He's from the blessed city of Alvin.

Ridiculous

Not to Mel, it would bring the whole anti-jew thing up that came up when Passion was released. He is a nutter anyway.

Martin Sheen...our West Wing President. And for reasons I won't mention on this thread so as to not derail it, I am 95% sure he is in Ron's corner.

Ron does not need to pander and he will not pander to Israel. Lets be clear AIPAC has called the shots in the present disaster of an administration.

I don't give a flying flip if we get the jewish vote. I believe any jew worth his salt see's the problems in this country and should vote for Paul. Should they choose their jewishness over this countries freedom, then s*&^%w them.

Mel gibson is a patriot through and through, he will resonate with most red blooded Americans. He is "The Patriot" he is "Braveheart" he is the outcast, he is our man!!

Un-freaking-believably liberal IIRC, but would be appreciated to show bi (or tri?)-partisan support.

He is a nut job. Even a lot of conservative Christians don't like him because of his crazy take on Catholicism.

It is Jews and evangelicals that don't like him.

Mel isn't as whacked as they make him out to be, BUT..the MSM would have a FIELD DAY with playing up the negativity of his endorsement.

As to Nolan Ryan.....this one completely friggin baffels me.

He endorsed Ron in the congressional races in the 90's so WTF is he now?!

I have asked this question I dunno dozens of times since April or so, with NO satisfactory answer, and no one else so far has seemed to even care when I've brought it up (elsewhere not here obviously)

Tom: (2007) Portrayed small-town Police Chief Jesse Stone who is frustrated by his boring job and misses his ex-wife in another TV movie for CBS, "Sea Change"; earned an Emmy nomination for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Movie

Sam was in "Off the Map" a few years ago.

I don't want Gibson's endorsement......I want some great infomercials and ads that he has been paid to do for and with Paul. Something along the lines of a mini history lesson coupled with where we are going today and how to stop it and turn it around.

Didn't know Nolan Ryan's Ron Paul's friend . . . hell, baseball's America's favorite pastime man -- that's right up there with Mrs. Smith and her Apple Pie.

Nolan would definitely appeal to the fellas, and Selleck for the ladies (assuming Matthew McConaughey's not willing).

No Gibson is really worth pursuing for an endorsement. As many Christians as you may get for Mel, you will alienate an already tenuous Jewish base. Oh, and his dad's a racist loon.
