I almost *crapped* my pants when i read that....what a moron. We're going into debt at an alarming speed--Bush is even MORE detached from reality than ever before. It's frightening. It's like some sort of demetia he's in or something...

I don't even think he believes it himself.

Whenever he speaks, the exact opposite of what he is saying is true no matter what.

If he says Santa is not real, then you should def. put cookies by the fire place.

He has mentioned this before... his "plan" is for it to be on it's way to being balanced by 2012 (no joke) 3 years after he leaves office.

So do the hesitation spots you indicated in the way you typed it actually reflect the way that he said it?

If so, that just shows he knows how ridiculously unbelievable it is while he was making the statement. What a joke.

So does "balanced" actually mean that the government will be only spending what it takes in in real revenue?

I doubt it. The "Balanced budget" under the Clinton years did not mean this.

If I "Balanced" my check book that would mean I"m not spending more than I have in the bank.

If an individual did this their bank account would be closed and sent to collections long ago. Instead we have given the Federal government an unlimited "overdraft protection" service in the form of foreign debt and inflation.

Bush is constantly mumbling and hesitating. He doesn't actually speak english, its some sort of neo-english :)
