Let me get this straight, we give money to Israel, we give money to Palestine, we give money to all kinds of non-American entities, and yet we let Americans go without?

PARIS (AP)--U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said a donors
conference Monday was the Palestinian government's "last hope" to avoid
bankruptcy and urged fast and generous international aid.
"The Palestinian Authority is experiencing a serious budgetary crisis," Rice
said, adding that the U.S. government had pledged $555 million for 2008. "This
conference is literally the government's last hope to avoid bankruptcy."
Norway's foreign minister, meanwhile, said that donors may pledge $2 billion
for Palestinians for 2008 at the Paris conference.
