i hope not, unless it's over 10 million. i think it's better to wait till the fec filing deadline when all the other second teir candidates will have realeased their numbers so the story will be how ron paul leads all the second teir candidates( assuming he will)

Well, it's just a matter of you define "signigicant" as being. Hopefully its something all of us will look and agree upon.

agreed - anything greater than $4M is a big, big deal. It's just going to get bigger, too.

Is it just me or are they deliberately teasing the crap outta this? I have a feeling we are going to be quite pleased assuming we haven't let our imaginations get to out of control.

Brownback announced about $1.5 million. Based on Huckabee's comments, I suspect he will announce less than Brownback. Based on the available data, I would expect the other "2nd tier" candidates to announce totals less than Brownback and Huckabee.

Bottom line -- if Paul has raised more than $1.6 million 2nd quarter, he will lead the second tier for the quarter. He will need to raise about $2.5 million to lead the 2nd tier in overall fundraising (Brownback has raised just over $3 million all together). Over $2 million cash on hand will put him ahead of McCain by that measure.
