Geeez, how long will it have to be debated?! those $400k doesn't count because it's from other days, get it?

How do you know it wasn't 400k of call in donations during the day?

Because the campaign sent out a press release saying that 6.026 million was raised. Therefore, 6.026 million was raised.

As of 12 Midnight EST, Paul campaign headquarters confirmed the total to be over $6 million while others had the figure at around $6.4 million. That total just represents processed credit card donations. The final total is likely to be closer to $7 million once checks, Paypal e-checks, and money orders are fully processed.

I think it's safe to assume 6.2 million or 6.3 million. The campaign added offline donations a week before. Most of what was added yesterday were from call-in donations, and probably checks from the last week, but you have to remember that it was an extremely slow week.

They also had an option on the donation page earlier in the week of "apply my donation on December 16th" (at least that's what my mom told me on the phone after she donated)

It's 6.026, unless the campaign changes the numbers. There's nothing to 'safely assume'. That's the current official number.

Which does not count as it was money raised before yesterday

Wow someone actually listens to the campaign, you know the people WITH the numbers and money. :)

Campaign already made the final announcement in a press release 6.02 mil

NO, its safe to trust the campaign people who actually have the money, data, and know what the hell they are talking about.

Could someone provide a link for this 6.02 figure? (from the official web site) - I can't seem to find any press release that states 6.02... all I'm seeing is a reference to "over 6 million"

"In a 24-hour period on December 16, the campaign raised $6.026 million dollars, surpassing the one-day record of $5.7 million held by John Kerry."

Who the smuck cares if it was 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 and why do people on here feel qualified to determine what counts and what doesn't? Credit card gifts are nice and those of us in Development love them because fulfillment is 100% but the processing fees are a bitch. I think the checks received a few days prior to the 16th count as checks aren't processed everyday anywhere and 100% of a check goes to the campaign unlike the credit gifts.

I think they adjusted this number recently - I've seen this piece before today and it stated clearly $6M and the 6.026 was from some email. Now it's on the page, so I hope this $6.4M hillary-record-beaten mania will finally stop :)
