How about making the next big event (after the New Year) a huge gathering in one location? Funds contributed would go towards transportation fees so that people could come in from other locations. Somewhere relatively central with a large population base, and pretty good weather to ensure that there won't be blizzard-like conditions like there were in Boston.

Would it still be possible to ignore a street gathering composed of tens of thousands?
