Yep, press conference at 12:45 today.

Hope someone asks the exact amount raised yesterday, so we can get some closure on that, or else have the exact amount posted on www.RonPaul2008.com.

I think they just rounded it to $6M, but it was like $6,029,000 or so. Let's hope the media pick this up instead of the old news ("over $5M")

Yes, exact figures are much more impressive than general ones.

Remember the Amazing, amazing CNN number-quoting... $4,320,000 million in 24 hours, $182,000 every hour, $3,042 per minute.

It has a much greater effect to quote exact figures.

$3,042 per second! Don't do the math--listen to the MSM. They said per second, so it must be true! ;)

Candidate has most successful fundraising day in American political history

That's the most important line!

BTW has everyone seen they've put up links under the main story to the 30 min tv special for iowa. i can't watch youtube at work but will check it out later.

Does anyone know if this press conference will be on live TV? They made such a fuss about Obama talking to a tv show hostess. Surely this political earthquake will be covered??

Why does it say the "campaign" raised $6 million. Shouldn't it say the grassroots raised $6 million without the campaign?

We are the campaign ;)

(And we can get things updated faster than them too!!)

Just as a side note, we need to be a bit patient to see all the media coverage of this record-breaking day. We're all used to seeing the excellent videos on YouTube, which concentrates the news coverage into nicely formatted sound bites compressed in time... what we forget is that a lot of those clips didn't happen until a few days after the Nov. 5 money bomb.

I think we'll get some good press coverage, but it might not come this morning - we might have to wait until the nightly news or tomorrow, or the next day or later this week as people (and the press) wake up as to what actually happened.
