How ridiculous would that be if the campaign got all of the money out of the bank and had a huge stamping party to stamp every single bill they had with

"Ron Paul for President www.ronpaul2008.com"

That money would circulate accross the nation. The Fed would spend 20 years trying to get rid of all those stamped bills.

Not serious by the way!:D

Just thought it was a funny idea

Deposit the stamped bills, withdraw another $18 million, re-stamp. Mwahahaha

Meh, the banks would probably send the bills back for destruction.

Breaking News: Ron Paul Campaign Attempting to Disrupt the US Economy by Defacing Currency. This is not the first attack on the economy by the libertarian candidate who has yet to translate online support to votes. The first was a counterfeiting operation known as "Liberty Dollars" where fake money was being created to look like true American Dollars. During his terrorism inspired Guy Fawkes Money Bomb, stolen credit card numbers were used to donate anonymously, a possible FEC Violation and federal offense. Not all money donated was counterfiet, some has come from Neo Nazi's and weirdos.

You won't get any such money from any bank following the regulations implementing the law. The says the banks have to remove from circulation unreadable/unusable notes. The regulations require the banks to remove from circulation the "stamped" bills some juvenile delinquents are so fond of.

We're trying to win a campaign and reinforce Dr. Paul's presidential statesmanship. Graffiti on FRNs undermines that image.

Banks aren't removing stamped notes. That's quite clear from the prevalence and re-circulation of stamped Where's George notes. A stamped note is not unreadable or unusable.

Some are, some aren't, but the guidance is that the stamping makes them unusable.
